Cousin Irony

My older cousin, Clement, who is turning 28 this year, recently left the banking industry and decided to continue his higher education. I, on the other hand, have recently (within the past year) entered the computer science industry after graduating from college. I always find conversations like this a little funny. How ironic how things have changed.

(10:04:54 AM) Clement Lam: this sounds weird…the convo is totally flip flop…..
(10:04:58 AM) Clement Lam: you have work and I have class
(10:05:42 AM) Clement Lam has signed off.

Funny how the tables have turned. :p

Me

Xiao Long (小龍)

Meet Xiao Long (小龍), which means “little dragon” in Chinese. He’s the little dragon I got from one of those arcade games at Six Flags Magic Mountain when I went two Saturdays ago (May 1). It was from that game where you try to shoot and knock over three plastic cups. Thanks to Allan for helping me win him!

New Beginnings

A year has already passed since I started this blog (I started it April 2009). Soon it will be a year since I graduated from UC Berkeley (pretty much three weeks from now). Where has the time gone? How on earth did it pass this quickly?

A lot has changed since then. And as much as I may or may not have wanted these changes to happen, I feel they were necessary. Whatever choices I had to make that led to these changes were the right ones, at least for now.

Too much to think about. For now I’ll just sip my coffee and enjoy the morning sitting here in my cubicle at work. Hello, world, it’s a new day.
